Hello, friend!
My name is Nathaniel. I’m a 19 20 21-year-old food photographer and blogger. From the cornfield jungle of Central Illinois, I’m a lover of sunsets, bonfires, and warm apple pie. Every recipe tested, photo taken, and word written comes from the “test kitchen” that is my one-bedroom apartment. It's really quite a lovely abode.
I started the blog on January 3rd, 2015 and it has been a crazy ride ever since. I have learned SO MUCH about food, photography, and blogging. I love the rustic and aged. I'm inspired by the contrasts of light and shadows (gotta love those shadows). When I’m not obsessing about food or geeky camera facts, I can be found walking through the woods (with my camera in hand!) or watching an excessive amount of YouTube videos.

My Camera
I currently shot (as of 2.11.16) with a Canon EOS Rebel T5i with a 18-55mm & 55mm f/1.8 lens
I had previous shot with the Canon PowerShot SX50 (for over 2 years!)

How often do you post?
*sighs* I post as often as I can. With school, work, and client work on the side, I unable to spend full-time on the blog as I would like to. My goal is once every week (fingers-crossed!).
If I fail to get a post up, you can find me actively pursing (and sometimes failing at that too!) a consist schedule on my Instagram.

My Work
TermiNatetor Kitchen, in a phrase, is a Southern Gothic meets Martha Stewart food blog. Through my recipes, photography, and writings, I want to tell a story and create an emotion. My style is a balance between shadow and light. White and black, bright and low-lit. I find peace in the dark and warmth from the light.
What is ‘stuttering’?
Fun fact, I'm a person who stutters! Stuttering is a speech disability that inhibits the natural flow of speech (called disfluency). I was diagnosed with stuttering when I was five years old. I’m part of the 1% of adults who stutter. Through food blogging, I have been able to begin to start the journey of self-acceptance and how to find my voice.

Why the name TermiNatetor Kitchen?
The name started as a nickname I had from my first job as a cashier in my towns’ local grocery store. The owner of the store would always call me “NateDawg”, “Nater the Hater”, “Nater-Tater”, and “TermiNatetor”. When thinking of potential blog names, TermiNatetor persistently stood out in my mind, so I used it. The rest is history.
